Today my discussion is very informative and interesting on How To Become a Teacher in Pakistan especially Punjab.This is the part 1 of my this series.
I have searched a lot of time the guideline for becoming the part of education department Punjab.But I found no complete guide regarding this.for the purpose of providing you all complete information i am starting this series.
Almost every year from 2009 government of Punjab is continuously announcing a lot of teachers vacancies through NTS in School Education Department.the main
The main task of NTS is to just conduct a test according to the policy of School Education Department and give the test qualifying competent candidates list to the education department .
NTS give the advertisement and education policy of Punjab School Education Department (PSED) on their Website.The advertisement contain all the detail information's for applying in the educators posts i.e age limit,education to apply,merit marks,test marks distribution and test qualifying marks etc.If you want to read all the information it is necessary for you to read the complete policy of that year.otherwise a short overview of policy will be available in advertisement.
keep in mind that every year mark distribution is changed by PSED and NTS is just to conduct the NTS test according to the given criteria and providing qualifying candidates list to education department.
Now some questions their that anybody can ask
What is the minimum qualification for Educators posts?
before the 2018 the minimum qualification was BA/BSC + B.ed but from the year 2018 the policy was changed and now the minimum qualification is masters(MA/MSC) + B.ed.
Is B.ed is necessary for applying?
No, b.ed is not necessary to apply but if you have B.ed in advance you will get some marks in merit according to merit criteria.
What is the criteria for merit marks?
Almost every year marks criteria changed.if I talk the previous advertisement merit criteria then their was 16 % marks from martic,16% marks were from intermediate,20% marks from bechlers ,20% marks from masters,20 % marks were from NTS,3% marks from B.ed and 5 % marks from interview.
What are the qualifying marks in NTS?
The qualifying marks also change every year.If i talk about previous selections then there were 50 marks for educators and 60 marks for AEO's. the candidates obtaining below 50 for educators and below 60 for AEO's can not apply an any post.
so it is necessary for every one to pass the NTS test before applying educators posts.
What are the categories of the posts?
there are three categories of post
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EDUCATORS (ESE)
SENIOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EDUCATORS(SESE)
SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATORS (SSE)
and some time ASSISTANT EDUCATION OFFICER.
scale of ESE is BPS 9 ,SESE BPS 14 AND SSE AND AEO is 16
What is the minimum and maximum age for apply educators posts?
the minimum age is 20 year for male and female and maximum age limit with age relaxation included is 35 years for males and 38 years for females
